How Thermal Analysis Methods Can Boost the Development of Reactive Resin Systems

Dr. Felipe Wolff-Fabris, Europäisches Zentrum für Dispersionstechnologien (EZD)

Interview with Dr.-Ing. Felipe Wolff-Fabris about using modern characterization methods such as UV-assisted rheological analysis for the application-oriented development of new thermosetting resins for the additive manufacturing and UV-curable inkjet inks.

Dr.-Ing. Felipe Wolff-Fabris is a material scientist with extensive experience in the field of formulation and production of nanocomposites. In 2009 he obtained his PhD in the field of “Modification of epoxy resins for composites in the aerospace industry” at the University of Bayreuth, Germany. After working as laboratory manager at Henkel KGaA & Co. AG in the field of Thermosets and Composite Materials, he joined SKZ in 2012 as head of the European Center for Dispersion Technologies (www.ezd.eu), located in Selb, Germany, where his group focuses on the development of new formulations and materials based on suspensions.
